About UsANGELA MOORE, PresidentAngela Moore’s enthusiastic approach to life is evident in her work at Starfish P.R. She prides herself on being creative and loves to collaborate and brainstorm with clients in all areas of business. Having started her career in the music industry at a young age, she was open to learning all aspects of the business. Marketing was the most natural fit and an excellent vehicle for her creative expertise. The Los Angeles native has held a variety of positions with trade publications, recording companies, artist management and concert promotion. Moore has worked with artists such as Madonna, Babyface, Prince, Live, Sublime and Alanis Morissette and corporate sponsors such as Heineken, PlayStation, Microsoft, and Sirius Satellite Radio. She welcomed the exciting digital music age and accepted a position with House of Blues Digital, where she worked with an innovative team to broadcast live concerts on the Internet - a concept ahead of its time in 1999. Moore embraced the challenges of her job, which morphed into several roles and she found herself spearheading strategic marketing across the entire HOB platform. In 2003, she exited her position at HOB and became co-founder of A&B Solutions, a marketing and publicity consulting company.
In 2005, Moore went solo with Starfish P.R. taking longtime clients Paige Hemmis and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles with her. She is proud of the team she’s assembled and feels extremely fortunate to be working with exceptional clients. Moore has never looked back since taking her leap of faith in 2003 and she hopes to encourage more young women to pursue their dreams as entrepreneurs through her writing and lecturing. Moore has been invited to speak at the Annenberg School at USC and Chapman University. Angela Moore has big plans for Starfish P.R., which includes a white-hot client roster and a fabulous team of creative go-getters. If that is you...drop her an email at angela@starfish-pr.com. She truly enjoys the dynamic landscape of P.R.; the exchange of ideas, using both new and traditional media to communicate and the payoff of sharing a client’s story with the public. Since joining the company she has secured media for clients in everything from popular blogs to nationally syndicated columns. Prior to joining Starfish PR, Alison gained invaluable experience as an Assistant/Office Manager at Jarvis Communications, a wine-focused boutique firm. Starting as an intern in 2006 and working her way up, she was given the opportunity to learn public relations from the inside out. Alison graduated Cum Laude from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in English. At Loyola she was a member of Sigma Tau Delta, an International English Honors Society, and active in Loyola’s first PR club; where covering campus events first ignited her interest in the field. During her junior year, she also completed an internship at Twentieth Century Fox where she was exposed to many different departments including production, facilities, marketing, and publicity.
A native of Los Angeles, raised in Redondo Beach, Alison is thrilled to have found a job she loves right in her hometown. Looking ahead she would love to be an integral part of Starfish PR’s growth including more clients, new ventures and, of course, growing into the renegade publicist she was born to be.
