Purchase a Macy’s Shopping Day Coupon at the Home Improvement Store by May 15th to Save 10% Instantly on Home Goods
April 30 2010-Los Angeles, CA: Now through May 15th, shoppers at the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (HFH GLA) Home Improvement Store can save 10% instantly by purchasing a Macy’s Shopping Day coupon good for discounts all day May 15, 2010 at Macy’s Del Amo. Each year Macy’s promotes its national charity shopping day, as part of its Shop for A Cause program, which raises money for regional and national nonprofit organizations. This year HFH GLA will benefit from the Macy’s fundraising efforts in Los Angeles. Shoppers will receive discounts at their local Macy’s store as well as the Gardena Home Improvement Store if they purchase their shopping pass in the Home Improvement Store.
The Macy’s Community Day Shopping Day coupon is good for $10 off any purchase of $25 or more at Macy’s, as well as 10% and 20% off Macy’s purchases, on May 15, 2010. The HFH GLA Home Improvement Store is selling the Macy’s coupons and offering shoppers an instant savings of 10% off of Home Improvement Store purchases the day they purchase a Shop for a Cause pass.
The Home Improvement Store was established to provide a self-sustaining funding source to HFH GLA and to support the local community with low-cost building and home improvement materials. Profits from the store are used by HFH to further its mission of providing homeownership opportunities to low-income families in need of safe, decent and affordable housing. The Home Improvement Store also recycles surplus new or used building and home improvement materials to reduce waste in local landfills and to protect the environment. Since it’s inception in August of 2004, the Habitat for Humanity Home Improvement Store in Gardena has generated over 2.7 million dollars in gross sales, diverting over 2.5 million pounds away from area landfills, the equivalent weight of 85 million aluminum soft drink cans.

Macy’s shopping passes can also be used at Fashion Valley, Mission Valley, Palm Desert, Sherman Oaks Fashion Square, South Coast Plaza and Victoria Gardens.
