Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles Invites Public to Design Collectible T-Shirt for 9th Annual “Power Women, Power Tools” Build Event

Deadline for Entries is April 3, 2013 

Los Angeles, CA – March 21, 2013:  For the first time, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (HFH GLA) is offering the opportunity to design the collectible t-shirt for its most anticipated event of the year “Power Women, Power Tools.”  Every year, “Power Women, Power Tools” attracts high-profile women volunteers from various sectors, including corporate, government, faith and the entertainment industry, as well as celebrities who spend the day building homes and bringing much needed awareness for affordable housing.  This year’s event will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Sony Pictures Studios from 8am to 4pm.

Bentley Prince Street Announces New President and CEO Ralph Grogan

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. (Jan. 15, 2013) – The Board of Directors at Bentley Prince Street today announced the appointment of Ralph Grogan to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately.  Grogan brings more than 30 years of relevant experience in the carpet industry having served in senior management positions with several carpet manufacturers, including chief operating officer of Tandus Flooring.  Grogan succeeds Anthony Minite, who stepped down as President and CEO of the company last week.

(ANEW), a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, teamed up with Change for Balance Productions to create a short documentary, “ANEW: doing what’s right with what’s left®.” The documentary is currently on the film festival circuit and is serving as an effective platform for calling attention to the work ANEW does turning surplus furniture, architectural materials and building assets into service. Since May, the documentary has been an official selection at the Catalina and FILManthropy Film Festivals and, most recently, was named the winner of the “Eco Award” at the Awareness Festival in Los Angeles.
