Bentley Prince Street Presents Illuminated Linen™ – Inspired by Vintage California Fashion Houses of the 1940s & 1950s

Unexpected Depth & Texture Ideal for Corporate, Government, Hospitality and Retail Settings

[City of Industry, CA – July 17, 2012] Illuminated Linen first debuted at NeoCon 2012 and Bentley Prince Street is proud to announce its official launch.  Its unique texture, made possible with exclusive Invista® yarns, gives Illuminated Linen a look and feel unlike any other carpet product in the marketplace. With a non-traditional pattern and smart color line, Illuminated Linen is available in broadloom, three carpet tile sizes, and area rugs.  Corporate, government, hospitality and retail settings feel complete, yet open – and illuminate beautifully with a sense of calm.

“Whether you’re looking to add warmth or soften hard surfaces, this product will outperform and outshine the competition,” says Anthony Minite, president. “Our design team has created a carpet product that captures the natural luster and crisp freshness of linen and, just like the fabric, will also exceed expectations with its strength and durability.”

Designed to capture the elegance of vintage fabric, Illuminated Linen is inspired by California fashion houses of the 1940s and 1950s.  The design showcases unexpected nodes of depth and texture, representing the natural essence of linen.  Custom colors are available for 50 square yards and above.  Made with Invista yarns, the underlayment is primarily glimmer yarns and the design team created a brand new yarn for the top, which creates a textured look and gives the product heft and dimension.  Illuminated Linen offers great appeal with wonderful underfoot comfort.  Every yarn in this product is made in the USA and it is tufted in Bentley Prince Street’s California LEED-EB® certified mill.

“With this product we were able to tap into our unique pantry of exclusive yarns to create something that really pops,” says Valerie Ottaviano, vice president of product design.  “You can see the depth and texture of Illuminated Linen at first glance. It shimmers, it’s vibrant and it feels so good to the touch.”
