PARALLETEK Expands Engineering Team with Three Strategic Hires

Additions Increase Company’s Commitment to Quality & Service

Santa Fe Springs, CA – October 29, 2014: PARALLELTEK is pleased to announce the appointments of Design Engineers Sheldon Sermonia and Chris Lee, as well as Project Manager David Herrera, to its growing team. Since its founding in 2013, PARALLELTEK has quickly become a competitive AV integrator and the addition of Sermonia, Herrera and Lee will help the company to meet the growing demand for unified technology solutions in the marketplace.

Sheldon Sermonia brings nearly two decades of experience to PARALLELTEK. As a Project Designer, Sermonia works with clients to design solutions customized to their specific needs and manages the project from inception to completion. Since graduating from ITT Technical Institute with his Associate of Applied Science degree in 1996, he has since trained and been certified with Execu Train, SoCal ROC, InfoComm International, and Extron Electronics. He has served as both a civil and structural drafter, as well as multiple positions utilizing his CADD drafting and technician skills.

Chris Lee, Project Design Engineer, is responsible for managing multiple client projects. Lee attended college at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign where he earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. He holds certifications from Infocomm CTS , EIT, Crestron DMC-E, AMX ACE Control Systems Expert, Extron Certified AV Associate and OSHA. Lee has been in the A/V industry for over seven years, designing and implementing integration solutions for both small and large companies. He brings with him a wide range of skills including a thirst for knowledge and passion for industry trends and product advancements.

David Herrera, Project Manager, joins PARALLELTEK after nearly 15 years with Bally’s Total Fitness, where he started as an Electronics Engineer and rose to Regional Project Manager, responsible for overseeing multiple facilities, teams, and locations. He has experience managing Marketing, Sales, Construction, Property Management and administrative teams, and brings these skills as well as his in depth engineering knowledge to each project he is responsible for at PARALLELTEK.

Sermonia, Lee and Herrera will be based out of PARALLELTEK’s headquarters in Santa Fe Springs, CA.
