Margaret DiLorenzo Joins ANEW Board of Directors

Board Recognizes Leadership in Commercial Real Estate and Corporate Sustainability

“Opening the Doors to Change” Design Contest is One Way to Get Involved

Los Angeles, CA – March 20, 2014: Act! Speak! Build! Week (ASBW) is a student-initiated advocacy program that empowers young people ages 5-25, not only to educate themselves about affordable housing issues, but also to take action. Habitat for Humanity affiliates around the country participate annually and this year ASBW will take place April 6-12.  Locally, schools and universities will participate with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) by planning and hosting an event or activity focused on ending poverty housing, raising social consciousness, and changing housing policy.

Carrie Coffey Joins Deconstruction & ReUse Network in Los Angeles

ANEW & USGBC-LA Announce Partnership to Serve Communities Through the Repurposing of Surplus Assets

Begins with Support of 15 New Libraries in Chihuahua, Mexico

 [Pasadena, CA – October 08, 2012] Asset Network for Education Worldwide, Inc. (ANEW) and the United States Green Building Council Los Angeles Chapter (USGBC-LA) have announced a partnership to team up on projects that will have a positive environmental and social impact on communities locally and beyond. The announcement came Friday, September 28th at the USGBC-LA’s 8th Annual Green Gala event.  ANEW and USGBC-LA have committed to work with the World is Just a Book Away (WIJABA) organization to build 15 libraries in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico.
